Children's Religious Education, Grades K-5
Welcome to Blessed Sacrament!
We look forward to being with you and your children. We have so many opportunities for your children to participate in our programs, to meet God in their lives, and to prepare to receive Jesus in the Sacraments.
In these pages, you will find everything you need to know about programs, requirements, and registration. We are here to do everything short of adopting your children, so just let us know how we can help.
Please see below for some of our frequent questions and concerns.
Coordinator of Religious Education
Who "runs" the RE program?
While I coordinate the many programs, I also rely on well over 100 adult volunteers to assist on a weekly basis. We need catechists to teach, we need hall monitors, we need assistants in the classroom. The only way we can have a safe and rich environment for our children is to have an active participation from the parish. We even have more and more youth volunteers which is great experience for them.
What does Blessed Sacrament expect of me as a parent?
We work very hard to communicate by making announcements, emailing, and sending flyers home with children. No matter what we do, there are always complaints from parents that they didn’t know ahead of time. Please be on the lookout for communications that we send and do not hesitate to contact us if there is a question. Some of our programs are time sensitive and we want to avoid hiccups especially in the sacramental preparation programs.
