The Diocese of Richmond released on Jan.12, 2014 a five year pastoral plan for evangelization entitled “Encounter the Joy of the Gospel and Set the World Ablaze.” The purpose of the plan is to assist all parishes to renew their faith and spread the Good News to others, to be builders of God’s kingdom now.
Tuesday Catholic Men’s Fellowship

Valley Cursillo has a very active presence in BSCC. Cursillo is a “short course” in Catholicism. It is a 3 day workshop style retreat designed to draw you into a deeper and more personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It introduces you to a new dimension to your Catholic Faith and transitions you to the 4th day, or the rest of your life, living your faith more fully.
Retreats are currently held in the spring for women and fall for men. Ultreyas are held quarterly and are reunions of all Valley Cursillo participants designed to keep the fire alive. There are also many small reunion groups active in the parish. Click this link for information about upcoming Cursillo retreats. (Opens in a new page)
Spiritual Book Club
Meets every second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the library. One book is selected by attendees to read and discuss in the following month. All are welcome.
