Blessed Sacrament has six Boy Scouts working on their Ad Altare Dei Religious Emblem. This program emphasizes teaching essential knowledge of the sacraments and helps the young men with developing a fully Christian way of life.
Part of the program is to do a service project. On Saturday, September 9th the Scouts made “cleaning buckets” for victims of the floods in Texas caused by hurricane Harvey. The buckets contain items such as trash bags, gloves, sponges, detergents, clothes lines and clothespins, etc; all items that can be used to help clean houses or places of business. These buckets were added to the 40 other buckets that Sentara RMH Medical Center departments made. All of the buckets were delivered to Otterbein United Methodist Church to ship to Texas.
